Levi at 10 months

Levi is in such a fun (and exhausting) stage right now. He is learning something new all the time. It is so fun to watch him discover all the things that he is capable of. Since he is ten months old today (what?! How is my baby almost a year?!), I thought I would write a few of my favorite things about him lately.

He is always pulling himself up to things. His favorite is to stand up to the kitchen chairs and push them around the dining/living room. He cries and cries when he runs the chair into an object or wall and can't keep walking. He let go of it and stood on his own today for a few seconds.

He clears everything he can out of our kitchen cupboards and is the happiest boy in the world when he makes it to the fridge when it's open.

He bites me regularly...particularly my shoulders and knees. He does not like it when I tell him no. This is obviously not one of my favorite things. He also loves to pinch.

Levi gives such good kisses when I ask. He might just be trying to eat my face, but I don't care.

When he is upset or crying and I start singing "If you're happy and you know it...", he usually quits crying for a moment to clap his hands. I love it because even if it's just for a moment, I can trick him into happiness.

He is sooooooo ticklish...particularly under his armpits, his sides, and his neck (though it's quite hard to get to his neck).

He loves his giraffe Gerald and goes to sleep snuggling him every nap and night. Best baby gift ever, Cailey!

It's pretty impossible for me to get anything done besides when he is napping because Levi is a serious Mama's boy. If I'm in the same room as him (which is pretty much all the time), he generally wants me to give him 100% of my attention. If I try and do anything else, he crawls over to me and pulls himself up to my legs, whining for me to pick him up.

Luckily he loves swimming and we go all the time (six of the seven days last week alone!). There isn't a whole lot else to do here in the heat so I'm very grateful he loves the water.

Levi is so mobile these days. He crawls everywhere, but rarely on all fours. He generally prefers his "butterfly crawl" (imagine the butterfly stroke, but on the floor). It's hilarious.
