Saying goodbye is for the birds...

Last week, Taylor and I packed up all of our stuff and drove down to our new home in Arizona. Before we left, we packed in as much time as we could with our family and friends.

I would like to apologize in advance for my lack of blogging skills. Though I started blogging almost 3 years ago, I also stopped blogging almost 3 years ago, so this is all pretty new again.

I have the best friends in the history of the world. They threw a going away party for us in Cailey's parentals' backyard (just like the good ol' days).

I don't really have any idea how to upload pictures in any particular order...so I'm basically going to toss them up wherever I can. We loved having so many friends and family there. I can't thank my friends enough. They gave us the most darling gift basket of things we would miss from Utah, but things to look forward to in Arizona. Some of the highlights: fry sauce, Donny Osmond cd, Utah/Arizona maps, Raising Arizona, sweet Jazz and Suns figurines, and a recipe book full of hilarious/hideous pictures from my junior high to college days. I love my girlfriends so much.

I had held it together pretty well until that night! I think it hit me then that we were really moving away from all our family and friends. Since we've been down here, though, I haven't been homesick or sad. I think I've been too busy with starting work and unpacking. Hopefully I can keep busy when Taylor starts school in a few weeks too...

I told you I'd start blogging, Alyson! Anyway, I hope you are all doing great in Utah. Just know that we miss you guys and think about you all the time! Please come visit us any day...it was only 111 degrees today, so not too hot for a visit... I'll post pictures of our place soon.
