Gunowner.

Taylor's birthday was this past Wednesday.  He got pretty lucky this birthday with awesome presents from family...

...including what he's been begging for forever: a gun.  Needless to say, he was pretty excited.

We went out to dinner that night to Kona Grill and came back for some delicious birthday cake from good ol' Baskin Robbins.

And I finally asked someone else to take a picture of us (every picture we have is self-portrait style) and look how it turned out: lady posing in the background and me (with mouth open) telling the picture-taker to hold the button down longer. Apparently she figured that out on her own.

So back to the usual picture of us:

And just the three of us...husband, wife, firearm:

I was trying to put 26 candles on the cake, but Taylor convinced me that it was an unrealistic plan given its size.  We settled on nine candles.

On Saturday we decided to test out the new addition to the family.  We went shooting with Taylor's friend Brett and his two sons, Brody and Ridge.

The gun fired like a champ! ...Until the cops came and told us we had to leave.  Looks like we'll have to find a legal spot to go shooting next time.

Only a few days as a gunowner, and already a run-in with the police.

That is awesome. And I love the pic with the lady posing in the background. That is my new goal in life; pose like a freak in the background of strangers photos. I miss you. It was great talking with you last night. Can't wait to see you soon!
