Sweet Home Arizona

With my job as an admissions counselor, I had to travel quite a bit during the "recruiting season"...September and October.  I spent four days in Missouri, seven in Salt Lake, six in Alabama, four in Idaho, and three in Washington.  I haven't traveled much, so even though the majority weren't very cool places, it was kind of cool to venture out on my own.  It got old pretty fast, though...I don't know how people who travel constantly for work do it! I know I couldn't do it if I had to travel regularly throughout the year.  Plus, it's basically the worst thing in the world leaving Taylor.

I didn't take any pictures in most places...a few in Alabama, but nothing too noteworthy.  My last trip was to Seattle and Bellingham, and I loved it there.

I had never been to Washington and seriously think I could move there after visiting. I was lucky enough to have most of the morning/afternoon free one day, so I spent my time at the market...

I wish I had been able to stay longer because I would have definitely bought some flowers. Most bouquets were only five or ten dollars. I didn't think they would hold up too well on the plane ride home, though.

At Taylor's Aunt Sue's recommendation, I ate at Ivar's on the waterfront and it was so absolutely delicious. I could go for some of that clam chowder (minus the clams) right now.

And just so you're aware, it is actually very difficult to get strangers to take pictures of you.  Multiple times they pressed the wrong button (despite my instructions) and I ended up without a picture.  One time I asked a woman and she started vigorously shaking her head no and walked away. It was bizarre.

So even though they were great trips (minus the $39 parking ticket in Seattle, which I am fighting), I am very glad to be home for awhile.  Next travel season starts end of February...unless you count mine and Taylor's holiday travel season, which is definitely not over yet.
